ACEP Welcomes Postdoctoral Fellow Asher Simmons

Asher Simmons recently joined ACEP as a postdoctoral fellow with the Power Systems Integration (PSI) team.  Dr. Simmons recently moved from Corvallis, Oregon where he earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Oregon State University.

 Dr. Simmons joins the PSI team and will work on many of the exciting projects coming out of the PSI Lab. In addition, he will become the lead role in the Alaska Center for Microgrid Technologies Commercialization (ACMTC)  Competition that offers research and development assistance support to accelerate commercialization of products intended to improve operation and technical efficiency of microgrids.
