ARENA Heads to Iceland for Final 2017 On-Site Program
The Arctic Remote Energy Networks Academy (ARENA) participants will travel to Reykjavik, Iceland for the final on-site meeting of the 2017 program.
This on-site program addresses a range of energy topics including geothermal resource assessment and utilization, small hydroelectric systems, and carbon dioxide capture applications.
The final on-site Program is hosted at the United Nations University's Geothermal Training Program facility, which includes classroom instruction and visits to multiple locations in and around the Reykjavik area.
The ARENA program has been endorsed by the Arctic Council's Sustainable Development Working Group (SDWG), and is co-led by the United States, Canada, Finland, Iceland, Aleut International Association and Gwich’in Council International.
