ACEP Director to Lead Office of Intellectual Property and Commercialization

ACEP Director, Gwen Holdmann, has accepted the position of Director for the Office of Intellectual Property and Commercialization (OIPC) at UAF. Holdmann will succeed OIPC Director Richard Collins and will assume her new position on July 1. She will continue to serve as Director of ACEP.

As the new Director, Holdmann will use her talents, vision and experiences with intellectual property, business development and entrepreneurship to lead OIPC into different directions and territories.

Vice Chancellor for Research, Larry Hinzman said in an email, “Gwen Holdmann will be able to help the office grow beyond the current small staff into a program that is needed by our university.”

The quarter-time position will allow Holdmann to continue her leadership role as Director of ACEP. Holdmann replaces Richard Collins who has served as OIPC Director since October 2015.
