Pride Attends Colorado Technology Primer for Economists and Social Scientists
ACEP postdoctoral research fellow Dominique Pride attended the Colorado Technology Primer for Economists and Social Scientists at Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado, from July 30-Aug. 3. The program receives funding and support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
The program aims to provide attendees with an engineering and social science understanding of electricity distribution systems and the interface of technology and policy. During the week-long session, lectures were given by staff members at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Colorado School of Mines. They covered various topics, including the principles of power systems planning and operations, and critical issues for distribution systems. Attendees also toured NREL’s Energy Systems Integration Facility and National Wind Technology Center.
