Whitney to Chair Buildings and Energy Working Group

ACEP Research Assistant Professor Erin Whitney has been selected as the chair of the Buildings and Energy Working Group for the finalization of a climate action plan for the Municipality of Anchorage in Southcentral Alaska.

The project, part of a collaboration between the municipality and the University of Alaska, is funded by a UA Faculty Initiative Grant.

Groups will develop climate action recommendations between August and December 2018. The work builds on 2017 ACEP summer intern Jacob Shercliffe's initial efforts to frame a climate action plan and greenhouse gas inventory for Anchorage.
