Alaska Hydrokinetic Energy Research Profiled in Seattle

Jeremy Kasper, director for the ACEP Alaska Hydrokinetic Energy Research Center, shared highlights about Alaska's river and ocean energy research as a speaker at the Marine Energy Opportunity panel hosted by the CleanTech Alliance on May 9 in Seattle, Washington.

The panel, chaired by Brian Polagye (University of Washington), included other panel members Belinda Batten (Oregon State University) and Balky Nair (Oscilla Power). UAF, UW and OSU form the Pacific Marine Energy Center, with complementary design, analysis, laboratory and field test capabilities.

Oscilla Power will test its 100 kW Triton system at the Wave Energy Test Site in Hawaii during 2019. A video of the presentation will be available at the CleanTech Alliance website.
