ACEP Director Attends VERGE Clean Energy Summit

Last week, ACEP director Gwen Holdmann attended the three-day VERGE Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The summit brought together over 900 clean energy stakeholders working to build a sustainable future in Hawaii and worldwide. Hawaii has a mandate to reach 100 percent renewable energy in the electricity sector by 2045.

Holdmann co-led an interactive workshop, “Microgrids 101: Development, Operations and Scalability,” focused on how to build, operate and scale microgrids for a more energy-resilient future. She also co-led the breakout session “Innovative Demand Response Solutions for Grid Management and Accelerating Onsite Solar,” where Holdmann shared experiences from Alaska that are also faced in Hawaii and the greater Pacific region.
