Latest Round of Solarize Anchorage Underway

With technical assistance from ACEP’s Solar Technologies Program, the latest round of Solarize Anchorage is underway. Neighborhood selection is complete, and the request for contractor proposals will be released imminently. Solarize Anchorage is a joint effort between The Alaska Center and the Alaska Center for Energy and Power to make residential solar photovoltaic energy systems more accessible and affordable for homeowners in the Municipality of Anchorage. Based on a program used widely in the Lower 48, Solarize Anchorage brings neighbors together to purchase solar panels and receive discounted rates on panels and installations. It will provide homeowners with less expensive panels by pairing group discount rates with available federal incentives.
