DC&A Program Manager Attends Arctic Data Science Training

ACEP researcher and data collection and analysis program manager Erin Whitney was selected to participate in a recent week-long Arctic Data Science Training workshop at the Arctic Data Center in the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Supported by the National Science Foundation, the focus of the workshop was data science and management, including data and metadata best practices; data documentation and publication to the DataONE and other databases; effective data management plans; and data manipulation, modeling and visualization, among other topics. She will bring lessons learned back to ACEP for incorporation into the data collection and analysis program.
