Yakutat Wave Energy Research Project Resumes

Alaska Hydrokinetic Energy Research Center Director Jeremy Kasper is heading to Cordova this week to meet the Alaska Department of Fish and Game’s research vessel Solstice.

UAF College of Fisheries and Ocean Science’s Associate Professor Andy Seitz and Michael Courtney, ACEP’s Stephanie Jump, and Kasper will sail on the Solstice to Yakutat, where they will conduct trawl and hydrographic survey work to support the Yakutat Wave Energy Project funded by the U.S. Bureau of Energy Management.
