Kasper Named ACEP Deputy Director for Research
Jeremy Kasper has accepted the position of ACEP deputy director for research.
Kasper has been a valuable contributor to ACEP, especially with regard to his leadership of the Alaska Hydrokinetic Energy Researh Center. Kasper will continue as director of AHERC, but will also work closely with Gwen Holdmann to manage ACEP's overarching research enterprise, particularly in the areas of strategic planning, budget/funding and relationship development.
George Roe held the role of interim deputy director for the past year; Roe has been an invaluable contributor to ACEP across a range of initiatives and will continue to work with ACEP on a variety of topic-specific and strategic areas as a senior advisor/research faculty at around 50-percent workload. We congratulate Roe on a pending joint appointment with Idaho National Lab and his appointment to the research advisory committee for Oak Ridge National Lab, in addition to his continued role as a teaching faculty member with Seattle Pacific University.
