ACEP Bids Farewell to Nickole Conley
ACEP is sad to announce that our deputy director of operations, Nickole Conley, is leaving the organization. Nickole has been instrumental in ACEP since its inception 10 years ago, first as the business manager of the Institute of Northern Engineering and later as the chief financial officer of the College of Engineering and Mines.
In 2015, Nickole took a more active role in ACEP, assuming the role of deputy director
of operations. With her fiscal knowledge and strong leadership, she helped guide the
organization to be the strong, dynamic and agile organization that it is.
Nickole leaves ACEP next month, having been selected to serve as the new executive
officer in the UAF Chancellor’s Office. In her new role, Nickole will serve as a member
of the chancellor’s management team and will support a wide variety of efforts across
campus. One of her first projects will be to manage the UAF strategic planning process,
which is slated to begin before Thanksgiving.
“Nickole has a significant breadth and depth of knowledge of UAF,” said Chancellor
Daniel M. White. “Her strategic thinking and problem-solving approach will add tremendous
value to UAF as we launch our strategic planning efforts and work to support entrepreneurial
efforts across campus.”
ACEP Director Gwen Holdmann says, “Nickole has been an invaluable member of the ACEP
team over the past several years. She has served on our leadership team, managed our
base state budget, developed the business model for our Power Systems Integration Laboratory, and helped implement processes to minimize administrative burdens for ACEP’s research
team. She will be sorely missed, but we believe she is an excellent choice for this
important new role and will be instrumental in implementing UAF’s future vision.”
