RADIANCE Team Shares Project Updates in Cordova
ACEP research faculty members Daisy Huang and Mari Shirazi were in Cordova last to participate in a technical interchange meeting for the three-year project titled Resilient Alaskan Distribution system Improvements using Automation, Network analysis, Control, and Energy storage.
Metering equipment has been installed in Cordova's power lines, and the team met to discuss the status of each of their contributions. ACEP will model the grid, provide and quantify Alaska-specific scenarios, and facilitate and support the full deployment in Cordova. ACEP’s Jeremy Vandermeer has conducted a top-level model of Cordova’s grid. This information will contribute to the data analysis as data comes in from the new μPMUs.
