Video Shows First Fault Emulator Test Conducted in PSI Lab

ACEP's Power Systems Integration team is commissioning the new 3-phase fault emulator that was installed in our PSI Laboratory.

The first test run was conducted last week with 3-10A fuses and a 36A load.

The video is a view of the event inside the fault emulator enclosure.

More details will be forthcoming after the commissioning has been completed.

The design and installation of the fault emulator has been funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration and the Office of Naval Research as part of the Alaska Center for Microgrid Technologies Commercialization.
