Training Opportunity in Seattle for Erin and Michelle

ACEP’s Michelle Wilber and Erin Whitney recently attended a week-long intensive training in Seattle, Washington, to become certified energy managers. The CEM program, accredited by the American National Standards Institute through Association of Energy Engineers, is the highest standard in personnel certification in the energy industry.

The training covers optimization of energy performance of a facility, building or industrial plant; systems integration for electrical, mechanical, process and building infrastructure; and analysis of optimum solutions to reduce energy consumption via cost-effective approaches.

CEMs have gained increased recognition within the energy industry and from companies looking to strengthen their competitive position by having a CEM on staff. The CEM training and certification credential will allow ACEP to become even more effective in its proposals and projects across a wider cross section of stakeholders.
