Student Internship Opportunities at Idaho National Laboratory
2019 Summer Internship opportunities are available for undergraduate and graduate students at Idaho National Laboratory.
To consider the potential for nuclear microreactor deployment in arctic environments, ACEP and INL will convene two stakeholder workshops — March 20-21 in Anchorage and June 17-18 in Idaho Falls.
There is an opportunity for three student interns to be involved in the workshops, engaging with Alaska community and business personnel, laboratory and university researchers, and nuclear industry representatives.
The students will spend the summer (May-August) at INL as paid research interns focusing on issues related to microreactor deployment in the Arctic, in collaboration with INL researchers. The student research will address three themes: strategic communications, regulatory and technology policy, and economic and market assessment.
The majority of INL internships are in fields such as nuclear engineering, mechanical
engineering, renewable energy, chemistry, physics, computer science and cyber security.
