Anchorage Climate Action Plan Adopted
The Anchorage Assembly passed a resolution last week to officially adopt the city's Climate Action Plan.
The action followed several months of hard work by ACEP’s Erin Whitney and intern Jacob Shercliffe, along with many other University of Alaska Fairbanks and University Alaska Anchorage faculty and students, Municipality of Anchorage employees, and more than 1,000 community members.
The Anchorage Climate Action Plan takes into account communitywide greenhouse gas emissions, projected climate impacts, and the priorities and concerns of Anchorage residents. The CAP will prioritize actions that result in substantial economic, environmental and community benefits.
