Southeast Conference Goes Virtual

Join the Southeast Conference for its annual meeting and learn about economic resiliency in Southeast Alaska. The meeting will be held on Zoom from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 22-25. The goal of this virtual conference is to continue work on the 2025 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for the region, as well as to begin to develop an economic recovery and resiliency plan following the impact of COVID-19. On Wednesday, Sept. 23, the Energy Panel will kick off with remarks by Curtis Thayer, the executive director of the Alaska Energy Authority. A discussion of beneficial electrification will follow, with panelists from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Cordova Electric Cooperative, Inside Passage Electric Cooperative and Alaska Electric Light & Power Co.
