ACEP, MicroFEWs Community Films Air on KUAC TV

A series of short films that tell the story of some of Alaska community’s unique food, energy and water challenges started airing recently on UAF’s public television station, KUAC TV.

The films were created by ACEP’s chief storyteller, Amanda Byrd, in conjunction with an ongoing research program, MicroFEWs. The program explores the food, energy and water connections in the communities.

Two films were shown last week on KUAC 9.1 during prime time. Future airings will take place on KUAC 9.1 and KUAC 9.4, as time allows. Because the films are short — around six minutes — schedules will not feature them. They may play between longer shows.
