ACEP Hosts Alaska Energy Authority Director

Curtis Thayer, Alaska Energy Authority executive director, visited the Alaska Center for Energy and Power last week.

Thayer toured the ACEP Energy Technology Facility, including the Power Systems Integration Lab, and engaged in a roundtable discussion with ACEP researchers.

The goal of the visit was to provide Thayer with a broad overview of the current lab testing capabilities and research areas of ACEP.

AEA is the state’s energy office and lead agency for energy policy and program development.

Understanding AEA’s strategic direction for energy in Alaska helps inform and shape the research efforts by ACEP.
