Arctic Dual Hood Featured in Startup Week

Startup Week is a celebration of entrepreneurship, and Alaska is home to countless entrepreneurs. They come in all shapes and sizes, and even come from within the university system.

ACEP’s Tom Marsik and Riley Bickford have developed a home ventilation system for the Arctic climate. They won the top prize in the Innovative Disclosures and Entrepreneurial Activities award hosted through the UAF Office of Intellectual Property and Commercialization. They have also participated in many startup events, most recently the 2021 Alaska Startup Week hosted by TechStars.
