Southeast Conference Hosts Annual Meeting in Ketchikan

This week Southeast Conference will host its annual meeting in Ketchikan. The meeting brings together leaders from all levels including municipal, state, federal, tribal and industry to chart of the course of the Southeast Alaska region. 

The Energy Committee will be speaking on Wednesday, Sept. 14. 

The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration has awarded the Alaska Mariculture Cluster $49 million as part of the Build Back Better Regional Challenge. This award is one of 21 winners out of 60 finalists from across the country. These funds, along with another $15 million from partners within the cluster, will be used develop a strong mariculture industry across coastal Alaska, providing a long-term benefit to the economy and environment.
