Did You Miss the Nuclear Town Hall Meeting Last Week?

Last week’s town hall meeting on small-scale nuclear energy at the Noel Wien Library in Fairbanks was standing room only. ACEP and the Alaska Northern Environmental Center hosted the event that featured a presentation by ACEP’s founding director Gwen Holdmann and now the UAF associate vice chancellor of research, innovation and industry partnerships. It was attended by at least 140 local residents interested in the energy source and the maturity of the technology.

Due to the amount of interest shown in nuclear energy in Alaska, ACEP plans to host more town hall meetings featuring nuclear energy experts. These will be announced in this newsletter.
