Why Dual Enroll in the University of Alaska Fairbanks?

Are you a junior or senior in high school on track to graduate and looking to get a head start on college? The University of Alaska Fairbanks and the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District (FNSBSD) offer a dual enrollment program for students like you to get a taste of the college experience while finishing up high school.

As a student dual-enrolled in North Star College, you’ll have the support of a dedicated team of advisors, faculty mentors and peers. Each semester, you’ll take a one-credit support class to learn about skills and strategies for success in college courses. By the time you graduate from North Star College, you’ll have the confidence and credits to enter college prepared to succeed.

 

 

North Star College admission requirements

Each year, North Star College accepts up to 90 juniors and 90 seniors through a lottery program. You must have minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average and be on track for graduation to qualify for admission into the University of Alaska Fairbanks through North Star College.
