Hello! My name is Victoria, and I’m in my fourth year as a Geological Engineering major here at UAF. As a military kid, I’ve had the chance to live in and visit many places, but none of them captured my heart like Alaska did. I knew that I wanted to study earth sciences, and knew that UAF would be a great choice, but it wasn’t until I reached out to my current advisor in the Geological Engineering department that I knew UAF was the school for me. We’re fortunate to not only have access to incredible faculty and staff, but to the natural laboratory and playground that is Fairbanks! While the journey to my bachelor’s is coming to a close in May 2021, I’m eagerly anticipating pursuing my Master’s degree in the fall. Two of my favorite things to do here on campus are attend Nanook Hockey games and help out with the many events put on by the Student Drama Association. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have about UAF and I look forward to talking with you. Go Nooks!
