Legislative Process Class
Travel to Juneau and learn about the Alaska legislative process!
The Legislative Process is a class which provides students with the knowledge and skills to work and interact with elected officials and State of Alaska employees on projects, programs, and environmental and resource issues that directly affect the quality of life in our Alaskan communities.
Students will first learn about the legislative process and the relationship between the governor’s administration and elected officials online via Zoom. Then students will travel in-person to Juneau to meet legislators, members of the governor’s staff and department personnel and learn about the policy issues affecting Bristol Bay.

This class is both online via Zoom and in-person in Juneau.
Meeting online via zoom: Jan. 14, 16-17, 30 and Feb. 13, 2025
Meeting in-person in Juneau, AK: Jan. 20-24, 2025
Travel & Tuition funding support is available.
To apply for the course:
- Fill out the Application Questionnaire by the deadline of December 9, 2024 at 8am.
After the registration deadline, we will select students to participate in the class and invite them to register.
*To take this course, students must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also enrolled in the course.
