International Association of Emergency Managers
The IAEM Student Chapter at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is a student organization seeking student support to help promote the vision and mission of academic and research excellence within the fields of emergency management and homeland security. Through effective and efficient communication, teamwork, and networking we can establish employment opportunities and professional development, advocate the issues most important to our members, and expand our growth and diversity.
UAF students who wish to pursue membership in the IAEM Student Chapter should contact the student club faculty coordinator, Sean McGee. All first-time IAEM Student Chapter membership fees at UAF are waived, as funding is made available via the chapter's CBSM and Wood Center fund accounts. By joining the student chapter, you will have full membership voting rights, access to student membership benefits at the IAEM, and more. After the first year, the IAEM-USA Student Chapter membership annual fee is $45 (paid directly to the IAEM parent association).
