Research Collaborations
As manager of the Health and Metabolism Research Core (HaMR) I have the opportunity to collaborate with several research projects across the campus. Currently these projects include the study of biological samples (blood plasma, tissues, etc.) for a metabolomics analysis of the changes during hibernation, the phosphorus content of soil extracts, and micelle formation in cyclodextrin derivatives with diffusion experiments. The MRI and DXA have expanded my collaboration to include changes in metabolic health and muscle mass in humans during clinical trials, as well as studying arctic ground squirrels during hibernation, and working with local veterinarians to help with their patient diagnostics.
The HaMR Core also includes resources that can help with your microscopy and histology needs, as well as most aspects of animal-based research. Please contact me for more information.
