2024 Science Potpourri

Back with a Bang, cartoon kids with scientific instruments

The 2024 Science Potpourri will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from noon - 3PM in the Reichardt Building on the UAF Troth Yeddha Campus. This year's theme is Back...with a Bang!

This is a free, all ages event with hands-on activities designed to encourage curiosity in the sciences. Parking is free on the weekend.

Children will learn about explosions, fossils, volcanoes, the aurora borealis, animals and space while enjoying liquid-nitrogen ice cream, and much more, in a safe and fun learning environment. There will be a scavenger hunt with prizes and educational crafts to take home.

The 2024 Science Potpourri will be part of Find Your Place in Space Week, a nationwide series of events hosted by the White House National Space Council. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about how space science affects their daily lives.
