Best Practices for Negotiation
The UAF Pre-Law Club, in collaboration with the Political Science Department, is excited to welcome Brian A. Pappas, J.D., LL.M., Ph.D., Dean and Professor of Law at the University of North Dakota School of Law, for a special virtual presentation on Thursday, November 7, at 4:00 PM. This event is designed to provide students with hands-on strategies for effective negotiation, a crucial skill for anyone interested in law, business, or leadership roles. Dean Pappas will also share valuable insights on selecting a law school and navigating the path to a legal career. The UAF Pre-Law Club invites all interested students, faculty, and staff to join this engaging session in Gruening 503H, where pizza, brownies, and drinks will be provided.
Speaker Background:
Brian A. Pappas, J.D., LL.M., Ph.D., currently serves as the Dean of the University of North Dakota School of Law. With a specialization in dispute resolution, negotiation, and legal education, Dean Pappas has distinguished himself as a leader in his field, most recently chairing the American Bar Association's Section of Dispute Resolution for the 2022-2023 term. His research spans critical topics in legal negotiation and leadership, offering students a unique opportunity to learn from an expert with extensive academic and practical experience.
