Announcing Auditions for STRIKE!

The UAF Department of Theatre & Film is thrilled to announce auditions for its spring production, STRIKE! A Musical and Dramatic Revue. Devised and directed by Flyn Ludington, this compelling theatrical experience will spotlight the struggles and triumphs of the working class through a curated selection of songs, scenes, and monologues spanning the 20th century.

No prior experience is necessary, and the auditions are open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members. Performances will run March 21-30, 2025.

Auditions

Saturday, January 18th, 2025
Lee H. Salisbury Theatre
2:00-5:00 p.m.

Please check-in in the Great Hall prior to your scheduled audition time.
Walk-ins are welcome to audition, and will be seen in a first come-first served basis. 


CALLBACKS

Sunday, January 19th, 2025
Lee H. Salisbury Theatre
2:00-5:00 p.m.

Only requested individuals need to attend the callback session.
*Note that you may still be cast even if not given a callback.

  • Actors should arrive a few minutes early to fill out an audition form, or they can download the form and fill it out in advance.
  • Actors should prepare a short Monologue and/or 16 bars of a song (please bring sheet music for piano)
  • Actors will be asked to read printed "sides" from the script. Paper copies will be provided.
