2024-2025 Graduate and Cutler Apartment Complex Meal Plans
Participation in the dining services program is required of all students living in university residence halls and Cutler Apartments.
Blocks and Munch Money
Block meal plans guarantee students a set number of full meals throughout the month. Blocks can be used for all-you-care-to-eat dinner and block combo meals at most dining locations. The block plans offer a savings from door pricing.
Munch Money is a declining balance account similar to a debit card. It can be used for purchases at all dining locations and vending machines. Munch Money purchases receive a 5% discount at the register in Dine 49.
Gold Plan
Price Per Semester: $1,350
$1,350 in Munch Money per semester
This meal plan is good for students who typically:
- Are comfortable budgeting their Munch Money for the semester
- Spend about $10 daily on all meals and snacks
Cub Block Plan
Price Per Semester: $900
5 Block per month per month.
$600 in Munch Money per semester
This meal plan is ideal for students who typically:
- Prefer a guarantee of 5 blocks meals each month.
- Spend about $37 on other meals and snacks weekly

Meal plan details
Blocks are designed to be used to purchase designated block meals at the following locations:
- Dine 49: breakfast, lunch and all-you-care-to-eat dinner
- Arctic Java: Grab Goodness on-the-go options
Blocks may also be exchanged for up to $10 equivalency at all dining locations.
Munch Money is used like cash at all dining locations and vending machines on campus. A 5% discount will be given at the register when using Munch Money in Dine 49
- All pricing is per semester.
- The student is automatically enrolled in the same meal plan in the spring semester unless UAF Dining Services is notified in writing of a different selection.
- Blocks reset on the first day of the month. Unused blocks expire when the plan resets.
- Block equivalency is not redeemable for cash.
- Up to $250 leftover Munch Money in the fall semester is rolled into the spring meal plan. All unused Munch Money expires at the end of the academic year after May 5, 2025.
- Unused blocks and Munch Money will not be refunded.
- Add on plans are available for purchase if funds run low.
Selecting a meal plan
To select or change a meal plan:
- Log into your Housing Portal and select a meal plan.
- Electronic UAF Dining Services Application - Requires UA login to access
Payment for the Fall meal plan should be made along with your tuition and fees on or before the fee payment deadline, September 6, 2024.
Please note: A default plan will automatically be assigned on or after July 1, 2024 if an alternate plan is not selected at the time of housing request. The default plan is determined by housing assignment:

- Cutler Apartments - Gold Plan
