Jackie Morton has been hired as the new director of the recently reorganized Department of Military and Veteran Services.

Morton received her commission from Truman State University and graduated as a distinguished military graduate. She has served for 24 years in active duty and the U.S. Army Reserve, where she is currently a colonel on the G-2 staff. During her time at Human Resources Command, Morton collaborated with military, civilian and nonprofit organizations for outreach events. She holds a master’s degree in professional counseling and is a certified school counselor.
