Apply now for Toolik Field Station's 2023 early career TUNDRA award

Toolik Field Station invites students and early career researchers to apply for the Toolik Userdays for Naturally Developing Research Abilities, or TUNDRA, award for the 2023 field season. This award sponsors independent and original Arctic research projects with up to 10 days at Toolik Field Station. Toolik will provide award recipients with housing, meals, access to facilities and common-use equipment, science support, and transportation between Fairbanks and the field station.

When Hugh Jackman announced he would be returning to Broadway as Professor Harold Hill, well, what else was a girl to do? A year ago, I flew to New York City with Broadway tickets burning a hole in my pocket. Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn, the mayor’s wife, remains one of my favorite characters of the play; and while the phrase didn’t originate with her, she liked to use it liberally - tempus fugit (time flies)!

Responsible Conduct of Research training will be offered Wednesday, Jan. 25, from 2-5 p.m. via Zoom. The training is brought to you by the Office of Research Integrity. This particular workshop fulfills the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health requirements for formal RCR instruction. This is the only formal RCR training at UAF this semester.
