Nanook Navigator early progress reports

Nanook Navigator early progress reports informing student success teams about concerns and barriers start Friday, Sept. 2-16. We are encouraging instructors to complete this by Wednesday, Sept. 7 to allow advisors and instructors time to meet with students before the Sept. 9 add/drop deadline.

Please login and check that you have the Professor role in Nanook Navigator. If you do not have the Professor Home role, you can request that here.

Instructors, please reach out to your students before completing progress reports. We encourage you to provide context within the comment section of the progress report to assist advisors and student success staff in their outreach support.

Instructors have helped student success teams support hundreds of students over the past two years. As seen below, higher response rates help UAF provide support and assist more of our students in need.

Spring 2022: over 400 students, 32 percent progress reports response rate
Fall 2021: over 300 students, 29 percent progress reports response rate
Spring 2021: over 600 students, 35 percent progress reports response rate
Fall 2020: over 1,000 students, 48 percent progress reports response rate

Schedule:

  • Sept. 2-16 in Nanook Navigator: (to inform success team about drop-swap, tutoring referrals, poor attendance, failure to turn in coursework, poor engagement, early encouragement “Kudos”)
  • Sept. 26-Oct. 10 midterm grades in UAOnline: (concrete grade check)
  • Open all semester: ad-hoc alerts (issue an alert)
