Our summer services and hours begin May 8, 2023 and go through August 11, 2023.


Hours

Open 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Mon, Tue, and Thur.  and 9:00  a.m.  - 1:00 p.m. Wed.

Closed Friday, weekends and UAF holidays.

 

Eligibility

There will now be a single line item called “Fairbanks Consolidated Fee” and/or “Rural Campus Consolidated Fee,” which includes all student activity and program fees in one lump sum, instead of many individual fees. Students at the Fairbanks campus, eCampus and the Community and Technical College will see a charge for $50 per credit. Students enrolled at a College of Rural Community and Development campus will see a charge of $20 per credit. The services this fee covers are listed online.  

The provision for students not taking classes during the summer semester is having the option of paying the summer bridge fee of $100 to have continuing medical and counseling services during the summer.  Criteria to pay the bridge fee is: student must have been eligible for SHCC services in the spring semester and will be returning to attend classes in the fall semester.  Please fill out this bridge fee form to have the fee added to your student account or you can pay the fee at Student Health and Counseling.


Available services

Medical and counseling services are provided.  For an appointment, please call 907-474-7043.  

If students need to be seen after-hours, please refer to our after-hours care page  under the Services tab for a list of clinics in the community.  For after-hours immediate counseling assistance, students can call 907-474-7043 and follow the prompts to talk to a counselor.

Lab and vaccines

 Lab services are available 9 a.m.- 12:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday and 9:30 am - 1:00 pm Wednesday.

Tuberculosis tests (PPDs) available Monday-Tuesday only. Offices are closed on Fridays.
