Scholarship application information

The Scholarship Coordinator manages the application process for most privately funded scholarships, and coordinates with academic departments that evaluate applications and select recipients.

How to apply:

  • Visit the UAF Financial Aid website and complete the scholarship applications steps outlined  under the section entitled "How to Apply for Scholarships".
  • Log in to the Scholarship Application System and follow the prompts. The application deadline is February 15.

Andrew T. Weaver Memorial Scholarship

student enrolled in any natural resources degree program
scholarly interests unrelated to, or outside of, the natural resource degree program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, in other words, to encourage intellectual growth and experience variety in such students (supplemental application/answer required)

Bonita J. Neiland Scholarship
Undergraduate
Natural Resources Management (or Environment)

John B. and Mae M. Hakala Scholarship
Undergraduate
Alaska residency preferred
Wildlife Biology, Biological sciences, Natural Resources Management or Environment (forestry) or pursuing a career in nursing

preference to students in the following order of priority: 1) from SAF Dixon Entrance Chapter Boundary; 2) from southeast AK; 3) from Alaska.
