Overview

We offer a number of opportunities for emerging to experienced leaders to expand their leadership toolboxes; join us for our annual UAF Leadership Conference or participate in one of our monthly leadership development activities where you will have the opportunity to interact with campus and community leaders and reflect on your own leadership experiences.



First-Year Leadership Academy

The First-Year Leadership Academy is designed to support, engage, and educate future leaders in the UAF community. The academy is open to all first year UAF students. While the academy is geared towards traditional age students, non-traditional students are welcome to apply! Student who finish will earn Level 1 of the COLD Certificate. 

Join us to develop your leadership skills and make strong connections during your first year at UAF!

Virgie Dunlap King Academy for Social Change

The VDK Academy for Social Change is a place for UAF student to come together and learn how to make a difference in their community. The academy is open to all sophomores, juniors and seniors. We will build leadership capacity, offer mentorship opportunities and participate in long term service projects. There is a $1,000 scholoarship for completion of the program! Student who finish will earn Level 3 of the COLD Certificate.
