ACEP Summer Internship Program 2024

In its sixth year, the ACEP Summer Internship Program selected 17 interns to pursue projects in various areas of energy research. Students are each mentored by an Alaska Center for Energy and Power (ACEP) researcher on a project around the state to work on a variety of energy research.

The internship cohort consists of two internship strands -- NSF REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates) as well as AUSI (ACEP Undergraduate Summer Internship).

The students attended a three-day welcome, an informative onboarding focusing on the resources, technologies and operations of Alaska's wide range of microgrid energy systems.
