The UAF Alumni Association is an active network of graduates and former students who support the university and advocate on its behalf. Its alumni mentor program assists students with degree and career planning. The association also offers scholarships and sponsors campus events and projects.

The association is governed by its constitution and bylaws. It is led by an executive director and guided in its mission by a volunteer board of directors. Its members further guide the activities of the association through participation in advisory committees and local chapters.
