Brittany Van Eck
Area Coordinator Lower Campus
Educational Background: BA in Psychology and MS in College Counseling and Student Development
Started at UAF: 2012
Hobbies: Over the years I grew to love UAF and the tight knit community of faculty, staff,
and students. After moving to Alaska I sort of fell into a really great network of
people who were engaged in both the community and the greater Alaska area. While I
have always loved being active, living here has introduced me to so many different
methods of movement. Over the last few years I have collected my fair share of gear,
and in both the winter and summer I will jump at any opportunity to experience this
great state. Don't be fooled though, I am not always just riding my bike and skiing.
Favorite thing to do in Fairbanks: If you all see me in the summer it will likely be at one of the local food treasures
that line College Road, chowing down on a delightful taco or gleefully eating a cinnamon
bun.

its through watching a documentary, adventuring in the nature or taking a new class!
During the summer I love being outside (as long as its not too hot!), practicing yoga
or checking out festivals and farmers markets. In the winter you'll typically find
me snuggled into my couch with my kitty watching TV chowing down on a sweet delicious
treat!
Favorite thing to do in Fairbanks: Trying new places to eat! I'm a big foodie and Fairbanks has A TON of really delicious
ethnically diverse food places!
