October 2020 President's Report

Staff Council's theme this year is building community. The Council committees are finalizing their strategic goals for the fiscal year under this main theme.

At the October 13 meeting Staff Council passed a COVID Annual Leave Resolution and a Motion for the 2021 Staff Council meeting schedule. 

Mathew was elected to serve as the Staff Alliance Chair again this fiscal year. Mathew is looking forward to representing UA staff again to the Board of Regents and interim President Pitney.  

Chancellor White encouraged staff to work with their supervisors on their workload. If you are in a position where you are juggling a lot of balls, talk with your supervisor about which balls you can lay down to prioritize what needs to be done. 

Last year UAF held an expedited administrative review. This year UA, UAA, UAF, and UAS will be holding similar administrative review processes. The processes are still being developed.
