COVID-19 policies
- Masks are required regardless of vaccination status.
- Reservation is required to climb. Click here to reserve a time.
- 10 person maximum occupancy.
- Wash your hands before and after climbing at the wall.
- Sanitizing station is available right at the wall entrance and throughout the SRC.
- Maintain 10 feet between yourself and others during physical activity.
- 6 feet at all other times.
- Please don't share chalk.
- Chalk is available for sale at the SRC front desk.
- Avoid touching your face.
- If you are sick or have had close contact with someone who has contracted COVID-19, please stay at home!
FAQ's
UAF policy requires all individuals inside UAF buildings to wear a mask.
We highly advise climbers to reserve a time slot. This is to avoid you coming to the gym only to find that we're at max capacity. You are welcome to climb without a reservation as long as you don't take another person's reserved spot.
If someone with a reservation shows up and the wall is at maximum capacity, someone without a reservation will be asked to leave. The SRC front desk is happy to assist with making a reservation.

Under UAF COVID-19 phase B policy, the climbing wall is operating at a 25% maximum capacity. This allows a maximum of 10 people at the wall.
Do not enter the climbing wall area if we're at maximum capacity.
Make sure to make a climb time reservation!
To help minimize contact and spreading germs we ask that you refrain from sharing chalk.
Chalk is available for sale at the SRC front desk and Outdoor Adventures office.
